In the videos below, you can watch different styles of what we call "kasàlà", although it has different names in the related languages. Note that a tremendous effort has been done in Southern Africa, to give English speaking people access to this fine poetry, by using both African languages and English in their performances. Besides, Zulu terms such as "izibongo" (praise poetry), "to bonga" (to praise) and "imbongi" (praise poet), have entered the English lexicon.
